eyelash extensions are made of a material called PBT (polybutylene terephthalate). it is a type of polyester (plastic) that is used in a wide variety of things.


do eyelash extensions hurt?

when applied correctly by a trained and experienced professional, it should not cause any pain as it is glued onto the natural lash and not skin.


do eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?

when applied incorrectly, extensions can and may cause damages. things like incorrect length, thickness, and improper or no isolation can contribute to damage. other reasons include improper aftercare by the client or lack of, which can lead to eye conditions that could result in seeking medical attention.


how often should i come for a fill?

you always want to keep your lashes on point and come in before there is less than 40% of lashes remaining. therefore, we recommend to 2-3 weeks depending on your set. let’s face it, lashes are a lifestyle and need to be maintained.

how do i know which set is for me if i have never had them before?

please keep in mind that it is always something we can discuss, tweak or change. your options are endless while keeping the health of your natural lashes as a top priority.

what should i expect during my appointment?

Keep in mind that you will be lying flat on your back anywhere from 2 -3 hours depending on the service. Your eyes will be closed and if you need to nap or listen to that podcast, you’re more than welcome to!

how do i take care of my lash extensions?

aftercare is discussed before, during and after your appointment. every full set service also includes an aftercare kit and guide for you to take home.


how long is a full set?

depending on which set you book, it is about 2-3 hours.


how will i know if i have an allergic reaction to the adhesive?

allergic reaction symptoms usually appears within 24-48 hours after your appointment. symptoms include, red and swollen eyelids, pain, itching, and sometimes, stuffy nose. please contact the studio as soon as possible if you experience these symptoms or please seek medical attention as soon as possible.


what if im in pain but don’t have any of the symptoms of an allergy?

you may be experiencing a type of irritation. the few things that can contribute to this are things like eyepads getting to close to the water line or watery eyes during application. irritations usually include red eyes but will subside within 48-72 hours.


why do my natural lashes fall out when i have extensions on?

just like when we shed hair from our head, we have natural lash shedding phases. everyone is unique so shedding cycles will be different. other things that can cause you to notice it more, would be things like medication, hormones, as well as pre-existing medical conditions.
